Projects > UDC - David A. Clarke School of Law

With classes beginning in less than three weeks, the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) made an abrupt yet executive decision to relocate the David A. Clarke School of Law to Building 52, a building previously used by Wilson Senior High School as swing space while their new school was under construction.  Building 52 still required interior renovations and improvements, in order to properly serve the law school.  UDC hired POUNDS Construction to take on this daunting task.  Working with Moody Nolan Architecture, the POUNDS team devised a scope or work and management plan to have the facility ready for Fall 2011 classes.  The POUNDS team managed crews working 24 hour shifts, in order to get the 87,000 SF swing space completed on time.  The POUNDS team completed this project in 10 calendar days.
